Dear Tony,
How are you? I’m fine in here. Here’s an email in English. It’s good practice for you and me! I have English classes at Brighton Language School. I’m in a class with seven students. They are all from different countries: Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. Our teacher’s name is Simon. He’s very funny and a very good teacher.
I live with an English family in a small, old house near the centre of town. Robert and Valeria are the parents. Theyhave a daughter and a son. Their daughter, Betsy, is 19. She’s a student at East London University. She likes surfing on the internet in her free time. Sometimes she helps me with my homework. Their son, Tom is a computer engineer. He works for a big company. He is always busy. He likes taking photos in his free time. Sometimes he goes out with his girlfirend, Jenny. They’re all very friendly and helpful but it isn’t easy to understand them. They speak very fast! I usually see them in the evenings and we watch movies on TV together.
Brighton isn’t very big, but it’s very exciting. The restaurants and night clubs are expensive, but the student bars and cafes are cheap. It’s hot now, and it’s lovely to be near the sea. I often go swimming with my friends. Wealso go cycling in the evenings. I think I like to be here.
Email me soon! Love,  Jane
